The “Cyber Security” training workshop organized by AOWA and funded by CIVICUS – World Alliance for Citizen Participation successfully concluded on 29 October 2025, following three weeks of continuous learning and capacity building.
The program, held from 10 to 29 October in Kabul, brought together 300 youth and university students. The main purpose of the training was to enhance digital security awareness and equip participants with essential skills to protect their information in today’s evolving online environment.
During the workshop, participants received practical learning on key topics including:
- Effective password management
- Identifying phishing attempts
- Using encrypted communication tools
- Secure data storage (physical and cloud-based)
- Safe internet browsing practices
- Daily habits for secure communication
- Protecting social media accounts
