Welcome to AOWA Organization

The 4th of June is observed by the United Nations as the “International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression.” This day serves as a reminder of the suffering of millions of children around the world who have been deprived of their fundamental rights due to war, conflict, violence, displacement, poverty, and neglect.

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and are often the ones who suffer the most from the consequences of war, violence, and humanitarian crises. Loss of access to education, lack of security, abuse, child labor, early and forced marriages, and psychological and physical trauma are only some of the challenges children face in times of crisis.

Over the past decades, Afghanistan has witnessed the profound impact of conflict, instability, poverty, and humanitarian emergencies on the lives of children. In such circumstances, protecting children, ensuring access to education and essential services, and providing a safe environment for their growth and development are shared national and humanitarian responsibilities.

Afghanistan Organization Women Arise (AOWA) believes that protecting children is an investment in the future of society. We emphasize the importance of safeguarding children’s rights, preventing all forms of violence, abuse, and discrimination, and encouraging joint efforts by families, government institutions, civil society organizations, and the international community to support and protect children.

On the occasion of the International Day of Innocent Children Victims of Aggression, we call upon all members of society to contribute to the protection of children, promote respect for children’s rights, and help create safe and supportive environments where every child can thrive.

Today’s children are the builders of tomorrow; protecting them is a responsibility shared by us all.
