Welcome to AOWA Organization

Today (21 May) has been designated by the United Nations as the “World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development” — a day dedicated to safeguarding human values, promoting mutual respect, and strengthening peaceful coexistence among different cultures, ethnic groups, and communities.

Afghanistan is a country with rich cultural, linguistic, and social diversity. This diversity is considered an important part of our national identity and a valuable asset to our society. When cultures interact in an atmosphere of respect, justice, and mutual acceptance, the foundation for peace, social solidarity, and sustainable development becomes stronger.

Islamic teachings also emphasize understanding, respect, and brotherhood among people. As Allah Almighty states in the Holy Quran:

“And We made you peoples and tribes so that you may know one another.”
(Surah Al-Hujurat, Verse 13)

This divine message shows that cultural and ethnic differences should not become causes of distance or discrimination, but rather opportunities for understanding, cooperation, and peaceful coexistence.

Afghanistan Organization Women Arise (AOWA) believes that respect for cultural diversity, support for women’s rights, equal access to education, and strengthening a culture of dialogue play an important role in creating a just, aware, and united society. We are committed to promoting the values of respect, mutual acceptance, and social participation among all segments of society.

On the occasion of 21 May, the World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development, we call upon all citizens, institutions, and young people to strengthen the values of mutual respect, solidarity, and acceptance of differences, and to cooperate in building a peaceful and inclusive future.
