Welcome to AOWA Organization

Agriculture is an essential part of life and the economy of many families in Afghanistan. Particularly in rural areas, families often depend on land, agricultural production, and natural resources to meet their daily needs. Supporting agriculture and strengthening the capacities of rural communities can therefore play an important role in improving livelihoods, strengthening household resilience, and creating sustainable opportunities.

Afghanistan Organization Women Arise (AOWA) believes that agricultural development is not limited to increasing production. It also involves strengthening agricultural knowledge and skills, promoting the effective use of resources, supporting rural families, and creating opportunities for more sustainable livelihoods.

Through its Agriculture sector, AOWA seeks to work with local communities and partners to strengthen agricultural capacities and support household livelihoods. Understanding local needs and building on existing community capacities are important elements of this approach.

Key areas of focus may include:

  Strengthening agricultural knowledge and skills
Promoting appropriate and sustainable agricultural practices
Encouraging efficient use of water and natural resources
Supporting the participation of women and families in agricultural activities
  Strengthening community participation and cooperation
Contributing to improved livelihoods and food security

AOWA seeks to work alongside rural communities to strengthen capacities and approaches that can contribute to greater resilience, particularly in the face of economic and environmental challenges.

Strong agriculture, empowered families, stronger communities.

AOWA remains committed to working with communities, partners, and dedicated individuals to contribute to sustainable development and better opportunities for people across Afghanistan.

Together for Humanity, Together for a Better Future
